Landon's 1st Birthday

Here is a the video of Landon's 1st Birthday. There was a malfunction that prevented the taping of the presentation of the cake. Also, my computer froze up minutes from the completion of the processing of the movie, so there are a few jerky spots. We started with chicken wings that Landon loved and try to share with Iggy. Then we wasted no time in letting him explore his cake (it was a train made by Aunt Mindy). We have pictures of this and other things from the last few weeks to post, but left the cord for the camera in Indiana. Thus, it will be a few weeks until we can post the birthday pictures and Landon seeing snow.

We are in Indiana for Thanksgiving and it is really cold. I have very limited video editing options, so I will be trying to post lots of short videos via You Tube throughout the trip. Cara will also be posting pics as she can. Three videos for today. First, Landon loves (really detests) his shoes and is trying to learn to walk in them. The second video is footage of birds. This was surprising to me because I thought that all birds went south for the winter and their was an enormous flock flying around today. The final video is a few seconds of Landon walking around in his new footie PJs. Enjoy!

Here is the first video of Landon walking without an aid. I didn't fully believe people saying that they had seen him do it the last few days, but he certainly can. In my haste to get this video on-line, I failed to record some of his more impressive walks this evening, but he did walk from our bed to the table in the Living room in one continous motion...

As most of you are probably aware, Landon is going to be a big brother. That means two things for the blogger community; first, details will be provided here as they come available; second, we will have to come up with a new catchy name and address for this blog. If you have any ideas, just leave a comment below. My favorite is "Lots of Gall" but I have been told that it is a somewhat less than a good idea.

Another First, Landon enjoys ribs!!!

We spent about 16 hours this weekend smoking/grilling meats. First, up were ribs for dinner. They were great and Landon certainly enjoyed his! Next up were Pork Shoulders used to make pulled pork for the Haven Men's League Fantasy Football Draft. Landon enjoyed a few shreds of that as well, but he now has a soft place in his heart for ribs!!!
